Understanding Campaign Approval and Start Issues

If your campaign has been approved but hasn’t started, it’s likely due to YouTube’s new feature that controls whether a Google Ads account can use the videos on a channel as ads. This feature is available for channels within the YouTube Partner Program. It allows you to limit ad usage of your channel’s videos to only those Google Ads accounts that are linked to your channel.

How to Resolve This Issue

To ensure your campaign starts without hitches:

  1. Go to the My Channels section on Sprizzy.
  2. Look for the ‘Google Ads Linked’ column.
  3. Click on "Link Now" to initiate the linking process.

Linking your channel allows us to manage your promotions directly and optimize your campaign efficiently.

Disable the Restrictive Feature

If you prefer not to link your accounts:

  1. Navigate to YouTube Studio.
  2. Go to Settings > Channel > Advanced settings.
  3. Disable the setting that restricts non-linked Google Ads accounts from promoting your videos.

This option allows any Google Ads account to use your videos for ads, providing more flexibility but less control over your content’s use in advertising.

Promoting a Video from a Channel You Don't Own?

If you're looking to promote a video from a channel you do not own, such as large organizations like TEDx, news outlets, or record labels, you may face restrictions. Due to the "Restrictive Feature" aimed at preventing unauthorized use, these channels may not allow their videos to be promoted by third-party Google Ads accounts. Here’s what you can do:

  • Attempt to contact the channel owner to request they either link to Sprizzy's Google Ads account or disable the restrictive feature temporarily.
  • If you have full rights to the video, reupload the video to a channel you control and restart your Sprizzy campaign.
