This article will help debug the reason for your campaign's slow or frozen delivery.  Please note that this only applies to campaigns where the status is "Live."

WHICH APPLIES TO YOUR CAMPAIGN?

My campaign is "Live" but shows 0 Views

Common Reasons:

  1. Your campaign's audience targeting is too strict.
If you're targeting a highly specific audience, such as Male unicycle enthusiasts ages 55 to 64-years-old located in Miami, FL, you may quickly reach all eligible viewers.

    Possible Fixes:
-Add additional target locations. Consider state or country targeting.
    -Add additional demographics (ages/genders).
    -Add additional keywords.
    -Add additional channel/video placements.
-If you're certain there are enough viewers within your target audience, contact your Sprizzy account manager to investigate further.

  2. Your video's reach is intentionally "limited" by Google Ads.
If your campaign is still not generating views after making the changes outlined above, Google may have limited your prospective audience based on your content.  Videos containing content related to politics, alcohol, housing, investing, or deemed "non-family-friendly" can be "approved" by Google Ads but intentionally limited to who can see them.  You can contact Sprizzy to see if your campaign has received these restrictions.

    Possible Fixes:
-Sprizzy could appeal the decision made by Google if your video was mislabeled.
-If an appeal is not an option, you can use the funds to promote a new video.

My campaign started getting views, then suddenly stopped

Common Reasons:

Brief/temporary campaign pauses:

  1. Daily pacing error - The campaign spent too much, too soon, and temporarily paused.
Sprizzy and Google Ads will both attempt to spend your budget over your selected campaign end date evenly. If our systems detect the budget was spending too quickly, your campaign may temporarily "pause" to allow for additional time to pass. At midnight EST, this will reset, and your campaign will resume again.

    Possible Fixes:
-No fix is required. Sprizzy and Google Ads will learn and adjust the pacing as the campaign progresses.  Your campaign will resume delivery at midnight EST>

Extended Pauses (>24 hours):

  1. Your campaign has a low "view rate" and is being recommended less by Google Ads.
If Google Ads is promoting your video on YouTube, but viewers are choosing not to click to watch your video, Google Ads will recommend it less in favor of videos that are performing better.  If this happens to your campaign, it's usually a sign that the audience you're targeting is not relevant or your video thumbnail needs to be improved.

    Possible Fixes:
-Review your campaign's targeting.  Focus on getting specific rather than attempting to reach as many people at once. For example, if your video is about repairing cars, then you want to target demographics, keywords, and/or placements that match your target audience. Look for broad keywords in your targeting (such as "repairs" or "cars") and replace them with keywords/phrases that match the context of your video (such as "how to change the oil on a car," "how to patch a flat tire"). By matching the video only to people looking for your content, you'll increase your "view rate" and your video's watch time.
-If the thumbnail of your video is dull, consider replacing it with something more eye-catching. Replacing the thumbnail on your video will automatically update the thumbnail we use in your Sprizzy ad.

  3. Your video was re-reviewed by Google Ads and either disapproved or intentionally "limited."
Google Ads periodically re-reviews approved videos and can either disapprove them or limit which audiences can see them.  Videos containing content related to politics, alcohol, housing, investing, or deemed "non-family-friendly" see a higher risk of being re-reviewed and disapproved.  You will receive an update from Sprizzy if your video is updated to "disapproved."  Additionally, videos may remain "approved" by Google Ads but intentionally limited to who can see them.  You can contact Sprizzy to see if your campaign has received these restrictions.

    Possible Fixes:
-Sprizzy could appeal the decision made by Google if your video was mislabeled.
-If an appeal is not an option, you can use the funds to promote a new video.

My campaign is only getting a few views per day/I want it to go faster

Common Reasons:

  1. Your campaign's audience targeting is too strict.
If you're targeting a highly specific audience, such as Male unicycle enthusiasts ages 55 to 64-years-old located in Miami, FL, you may quickly reach all eligible viewers.

    Possible Fixes:
-Add additional target locations. Consider state or country targeting.
    -Add additional demographics (ages/genders).
    -Add additional keywords.
    -Add additional channel/video placements.

  2. Your campaign's end date is set in the distant future.
If your campaign's budget is low and the end date is set too far into the future, your campaign may generate views very slowly.

    Possible Fixes:
-Update your end date to a sooner date.

    -Increase your campaign's budget.
